Documents about corruption in government, bank details and other confidential information is not the kind of thing you want to be broadcast on the Internet. This is precisely what the purpose of Wikileaks was (and still is as its still active today). Despite being pulled by the US district attorney, the origins of the dispute arise from alleged confidential information posted there by Wikileaks concerning a Swiss bank (Julius Baer).

Obviously Wikileaks had prepared to be sued and taken to court as the owners remain anonymous and has registered a number of similar domain names (Wikileaks.cx for example). Some of the documents are on a certain popular bit torrent site and supporters of the site are being urged to link the site and visit the mirrors.

I haven’t seen the alleged details but the site is quite vast and very much active . Long may it continue i say. After all it is the age of free speech and the freedom of information act (although obviously within limits on bank and personal information).
