If i had £560,000 spare i tell you one thing i wouldnt buy is an “S” (i could list what i would buy but this isnt the time or place) confused ?. Let me explain.
Cruise.co.uk has existed happily for sometime but cruises.co.uk (its all in the “s”) was owned by a german travel company (so a rival). So now if you visit crusies.co.uk or cruise.co.uk you get to the same place and justify paying the money for the “S” (so they hope at least).
Previous british record for most paid for a domain name was recycle.co.uk which went for £150,000 (what a bargain i say) purchased by ASAP ventures.
Of course like most things the british record is little more than change compared to the world record is a massive reported £7 million pounds in 2006 (dont get me started on that amount). So what did 7 million pounds buy you in 2006 ? answer - Sex.com (you knew it would be something like that).
